Chief Financial Officer Named at Visual Edge Technology

2006 (North Canton, Ohio). Mr. Mark C. Lewis, President and CEO of Visual
Edge Technology (VisualEdge) announced today that the corporation’s
Board of Directors has named Gene P. Jones Acting Chief Financial Officer.
VisualEdge is the corporate parent to a family of imaging solutions
companies specializing in providing office and wide format equipment,
consumables and technical professional services throughout North America.
“Gene is a results oriented financial professional with a successful
track record of 30 years of executive leadership for companies focused
on both internal and external growth,” said Mr. Lewis. “He
has negotiated and completed the acquisition and integration of over
25 entities and his experience and expertise in high technology organizations
will be an immediate asset to VisualEdge. We are very pleased that Gene
has joined our management team and look forward to his strong operational
oversight knowledge and financial leadership.”
Mr. Jones is currently a partner in the Houston practice of Tatum, LLC
in addition to his position at VisualEdge. During his more than 30-year
career, Jones secured $50 million in private equity and debt commitments
of $20 million for Encore Legal Solutions, Inc and completed 15 acquisitions
in 18 months for All Bases Covered, Inc.
Prior to joining Tatum, LLC, Jones served as Co-Founder, Secretary,
Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer, Encore Legal Solutions, Inc.,
provider of litigation technology support services; and as an Independent
Consultant for companies in the restaurant, retailing, construction
and information technology service areas including Chief Financial Officer
and Treasurer, Vital Link Business Systems, Inc. He also served as Secretary,
Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer for All Bases Covered, Inc., provider
of information technology support services; and as Chief Financial Officer,
IKON Document Services, business services and technology outsourcer
to the legal industry.
The second decade of his career found him in senior
financial executive positions with Allied Physicians, Inc., Hastings
Entertainment, Inc., AFC Enterprises, Inc., and National Bancshares
Corporation. His first ten years of public accounting experience were
as a senior manager with KPMG, LLP. He holds a Master of Science in
Business Administration from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Science
in Accounting from St. Joseph’s College.
